Analysis direction of changes in temperature at Gharyan station for the period 1980-2014

Abstract

<> This study aims to analyze the trend of temperature change at Gharyan Station located in northwestern Libya for the period from 1980-2014, and to reveal those changes that occurred during the study period using statistical analysis methods represented in moving averages, cumulated sums, simple linear regression and t-test depending on the SPSS technique. As climate change had dire effects on all climatic elements, especially the temperatures, which are trending towards increasing in all regions of the world, the importance of this study came as it studies an important element of the climate elements and determines its trends. The results showed that there were trends towards an increase in temperature rates with a statistical significance that ranged between 0.001-0.05
