Editorial Board Responsibilities

Duties of the Editorial Board

The Editorial Board is composed of a group of academics specialized in fields relevant to the journal, led by the Editor-in-Chief, who holds the final authority in determining whether submitted manuscripts fall within the journal's scope and in making the initial decision on their acceptance or rejection.

The Board is committed to implementing the policies adopted by the University of Misurata as the official publisher, while adhering to international standards and national regulations related to copyright and research ethics.

Its responsibilities include the preliminary review of submitted manuscripts in terms of originality, scientific value, and compliance with the journal's publication guidelines, before referring them to carefully selected and unbiased peer reviewers. The anonymity of authors must be preserved, and the objectivity of the review process ensured. Editorial decisions are based on reviewers' reports.

The Board is also responsible for employing reliable plagiarism detection software to ensure the originality of submitted works and rejecting any manuscripts that violate standards of academic integrity. In cases of financial, personal, or institutional conflicts of interest, members are required to disclose such conflicts and refrain from participating in related editorial decisions.

The Board must safeguard the confidentiality of unpublished manuscripts, which may not be used or circulated without written permission from the authors. Furthermore, the Board is committed to maintaining effective communication with researchers during the review and editorial process whenever necessary.
