Hepatitis B virus infections in Misrata

Abstract

A study of 1497 cases (993 males and 504 females) of hepatitis B virus infection, in Misurata Emergency Hospital, Chest Diseases and Tuberculosis Hospital, and Misurata Central Laboratory for Medical Analysis, during the period from 1/1/2010 to 12/31/2016, using the RABID and ELISA methods.The infection rate among males (71%) was higher than among females (29%), and the infection rate of this virus among the 26-35 age group was found to be high compared to other age groups.
