Abstract

The purpose of the current research is to identify (the reality of change management among the heads of scientific departments at the Faculty of Education, Misurata University from the point of view of the faculty members . ( For achieving this aim, the following questions were asked: - What is the reality of change management among the heads of scientific departments at the Faculty of Education, Misurata University from the point of view of the faculty members? The following questions arise from it :To what degree do department heads at the College of Education (Misurata University) practice their role as they are the leaders of the change management from the faculty members' point of view ?Are there statistically significant differences at the level (0.05) when the heads of departments at the College of Education (Misurata University) practice the change management from the point of view of the faculty members due to the variable (gender, years of experience, specialization .)What are the ways to develop the performance of department heads at the Faculty of Education (Misurata University) regarding the requirements of change management? The data was managed using the statistical analysis program (SPSS), and for achieving the objectives of the research, the researcher prepared a questionnaire after using previous studies, which included (40) paragraphs and (5) dimensions distributed to the research sample represented by (35) faculty member at the Faculty of Education, Misurata University. The research accomplished several results, such as: 1 . The degree to which department heads exercised their leadership role in managing change came to a high degree. 3 . There are no statistically significant differences in the faculty members’ estimates of the degree to which heads of scientific departments practice their role as leaders of change management due to the variable (gender, specialization, years of experience.
