Abstract

Abstract: The aim of the research is to identify the nature of the relationship between parenting styles and happiness among a sample of high school students in the city of Misurata, and the research sample consisted of (500) male and female students who were randomly selected from the secondary schools of Misurata. And the results showed that there were statistically significant differences at a level of significance less than (0.05) between the hypothetical mean and the sample mean, and these differences were in the direction of the hypothetical mean being higher than the sample mean with regard to the dimensions (physical ostracism, deprivation, cruelty, humiliation, rejection, ostracism). subtraction), which indicates that students realize that these methods are less common by parents, as well as that students feel happy, compared to the hypothetical average, the Islamic religion, and then the responses of the sample members were consistent with these values, and that the negative poles of parental treatment negatively affect the feelings of happiness, life satisfaction and sympathy among the sample members.
