Psychological stress among teachers at elementary schools in Bani Kinana Area

Abstract

The aim of the study is to determine the level of psychological stress faced by teachers at the elementary stage in the public schools in Bani Kinana Area. It also aimed at determining the effect of variables (gender, age,experience, marital status, type of accommodation, salary, number of teachers, and administrative method used at school) on the level of psychological stress on the elementary school teachers in the public schools under the supervision of Education Directorates in Bani Kinana Area. To achieve the objectives of this study, the researchers designed a questionnaire to survey the opinions of the study sample about the level of psychological stress faced by teachers at elementary public schools in Bani Kinana Area. The questionnaire has been revised and checked by specialists. In this study, the descriptive survey approach was used due to its suitability to the nature of the study, and the study sample consisted of 107 teachers who were randomly selected from the population of the study. After using statistical analysis, the results revealed that there is an average level of psychological stress related to work faced by teachers at the elementary stage schools and that there is statistically significant effect of the common method of leadership in school on the level of psychological stress.
