Islam entered Morocco in the year 22 AH/642 AD at the hands of
the leader Amr bin Al-Aas during the Islamic conquests, but the conquest of
Morocco was not easy matter, as it took more than half a century from 22-91
AH/642-709 AD. The Islamic army faced many problems and obstacles that
hindered its path towards achieving its goals. The primary goal of these conquests was to spread the Islamic
religion and bring its people into the society of the Islamic state, uphold the
word of God Almighty, and fortify its borders from the Byzantine threat.
