Approximating functions by polynomials

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to study some types of algebraic polynomials that are used in approximation of functions. They are Taylor polynomial, Maclaurin polynomial, and some orthogonal polynomial (Chebyshev polynomial, Legendre polynomial).
