Calculation of the error index by pure remainder of the Poisson problem

Abstract

In this paper, the value of error indicators obtained by applying the finite element method to the Poisson problem is reduced. In order to fined error indicators of the least possible value, the researchers assumed the error value is the square root of the sum of error indicator squared over each triangle of domain triangulation and theorems are utilized to compute the difference between the exact and approximate solutions.
