Abstract

This research aims to identify the relationship between academic buoyancy and psychological security among students of the Department of Educational Administration and Educational Planning at the Faculty of Education, Misrata University. It also examines the levels of both variables and explores potential differences attributed to gender. The study utilized a descriptive-correlational and comprehensive survey approach, targeting a population of (337) students (50 males and 287 females) during the academic year 2025/2026. Data were collected using the Academic Buoyancy Scale (prepared by Wafaa Abd Al-Mawjoud Muhammad, 2025) and the Psychological Security Scale (prepared by Iman Baheeth Muhammad Al-Hadidi, 2023). Statistical analyses were performed using SPSS. The findings revealed a statistically significant moderate positive correlation ($\alpha = 0.05$) between academic buoyancy and psychological security. Furthermore, results indicated a high level of academic buoyancy (84%) and a very high level of psychological security (76.2%) among the students. However, no statistically significant differences were found in either variable attributed to gender. Based on these results, the study recommends directing the attention of educational stakeholders toward the importance of training students to develop academic buoyancy to help them achieve higher levels of success, alongside organizing supportive activities and enhancing self-confidence
