Praise be to God; nothing is initiated except by His praise, and blessings are not granted except through His generosity and kindness. The One who made among us the best of His prophets and the chosen of His creation, the most eloquent in pronouncing the letter “Ḍād,” may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, his family, and his companions. Studying language and its modern linguistic schools is a field that has received great attention from researchers, and its scientific scope continues to expand day by day. Linguistic schools have diversified over time, including: the European linguistic schools (Geneva School, Prague School, Copenhagen School, London School), and the American linguistic schools (Behaviorist School, Distributional School, Generative-Transformational School), among others. Perhaps the most prominent of these schools is the Generative-Transformational School, which has occupied the scientific community more than any other, both in the past and present. This is because it drew the attention of many linguists to its principles and linguistic analyses. This school has been able to develop and undergo phases of change and modification. Each phase in this theory represents a scientific achievement toward better contemporary linguistic studies. It has evolved in a way unmatched by any other school, and this development was led by the linguist Noam Chomsky, who sparked a global revolution in modern linguistics.
