Abstract

The study under this title dealt with two important periods that pre-Islamic
poetry went through in its long journey, since poetry narrators surrounded it
with care and attention, starting from the stage of chanting and oral narration,
through the stage of compilation, until it reached the stage of codification and
investigation, and it became preserved in various manuscripts in the blogs of
poetry and news, and in Language and literature blogs and grammar books, in
books of hadiths and interpretations, then in independent collections on the
shelves of public and private libraries.
When Western countries recently invaded the areas of Islam; The Orientalists
found a great Eastern heritage before their eyes, waiting for them to produce,
translate, verify, and publish it according to modern means. They carried out
this task well, and they revived many manuscripts of pre-Islamic poetry
collections, poems, and compositions, and revived them again in a new guise.
