Abstract:
The theory of semantic fields is one of the most important theories of
contemporary linguistic research, and it depends in the study of meaning on
the analytical method, which aims to analyze the features of the semantic
structure of vocabulary within the text in an objective and accurate manner".
This theory asserts that in order to understand the meaning of a word, you
must also understand the group of semantically related words, in order for it
to be accurately understood. This theory aims to collect all the words that
pertain to a particular field, and to reveal their relationships with one another,
and their relationships with the general term.
