Abstract

Rock drawings and inscriptions are among the most important
archaeological sources for studying the history of humanity and its
development throughout the ages. They are the first attempts to
write and express their thoughts in which primitive man used his
tools from flint stones in the process of polishing and notching.
Animal drawings and inscriptions on rocks are an integrated
system produced by the human mind of ancient man. This
production Intellectual, cultural and technical, it highlights man’s
interaction with his environment and his ability to keep pace with
the human development of the groups that preceded him.
The animal drawings on the rocks are the result of ancient
man’s desire to control animals, as it makes him feel powerful to
carry out the hunting process. His depiction of these animals also
increases his desire to know their characteristics and weaknesses.
Perhaps the motive behind these animal drawings was to acquaint
children and grandchildren with their nature so that they would
beware. or benefit from them, and learn about the many species
that live in their area.
