Interpreting university dropout according to the Tinto model, an "analytical study"

The study aimed to build a conceptual theoretical framework on
the issue of student dropout and undergraduate retention. As well as to know
how to explain the factors and reasons that lead to dropout and non-retention
by explaining and interpreting the Tinto model. By literature review, it
became clear that motivational theories are the theories that most help
explain trends in dropout and undergraduate retention, and that the most
common factors in the issue of dropout and student retention are: (academic
preparation, academic engagement, social engagement, financing and
demographic characteristics). As for Tinto's model, it developed several
factors to explain undergraduate retention: are: (per-entry attributes, goals/
commitment, institutional experience, integration, intentions, outcomes).
