The Attitudes of Female Students in the Classroom Teacher Department at the Faculty of Education, Misurata University Toward the Teaching Profession

The aim of this research is to identify the level of attitudes among female students in the classroom Teacher Department ,Faculty of Education Department at the University of Misurata towards the teaching profession, It also seeks to identify differences in these attitudes based on two variable:( the academic semester and the subject the students prefer to teach).The researchers adopted the descriptive-analytical method. The study population consisted of all female students enrolled in the Classroom Teacher Department during the Fall semester of the academic year (2024-2025), totaling (232) students, A sample of (60) students was selected using the simple random sampling method.
A questionnaire consisting of (25) items, was used as the primary tool to measure students’ attitudes toward the teaching profession. The researchers employed various statistical tools, including frequency and percentage tables, arithmetic mean, standard deviation, Cronbach’s Alpha for reliability, Pearson correlation coefficient, and One-Way ANOVA for variance analysis.
The results of the study revealed that the students’ attitudes toward the teaching profession were positive. Furthermore, no statistically significant differences were found in students’ attitudes based on either the academic semester or the subject they prefer to teach.
