The research concept is based on studying forms of religious (Quranic) intertextuality in Libyan poetry, through selected examples from Hassan Al-Soussi's poetry. Religious intertextuality is a means of rereading religious texts in light of new contexts and confirms their continued presence in the Arab conscience and creativity. This research is conducted through four of the poet's collections selected to study this phenomenon: Diwan Al-Mawasem, Diwan Nawafidh, Diwan Alhan Libyya, and Diwan Taqasim Ala Autar Maghrebi. Because religious Quranic intertextuality is one of the most prominent phenomena in Hassan Al-Soussi's poetry, the study identified four forms of it, which the poet utilized in varying degrees in his poetic texts. These forms are: intertextuality with a single word, intertextuality with a Quranic verse or part thereof, intertextuality with Quranic stories, and intertextuality with Quranic meaning. Al-Soussi did not treat Quranic texts as ready-made data, but rather invested them creatively to enrich his poetic experience, whether through explicit quotation, absorption, or modification. The importance of studying Quranic religious intertextuality in Al-Soussi's poetry lies in its revealing the dialectic of the relationship between the poetic and Quranic texts, and whether this relationship is based solely on imitation or one based on dialogue and interaction, which endows the poetic text with renewed aesthetic energy.
