Problems facing the psychological counselor in basic education (Afield study in the schools of the municipality of Misurata)

Abstract

The aim of the research is to identify the problems facing the psychological counselor from his point of view in the stage of basic education in government schools in Misurata, in addition to revealing the differences in the problems according to the variables of academic qualification, years of experience of the counselor, and the use of the descriptive analytical approach to achieve the objectives of the research, and the research sample ncluded (98) male and female counsellors, counsellors, which were chosen randomly, and a questionnaire was developed for the problems facing the psychological counselor, where the number of the questionnaire’s paragraphs reached (24) paragraphs representing three main axes: (the axis of preparation and training, the axis of The management and the teaching staff, and the work conditions axis for counselors) after confirming the indications of its sincerity and stability, and the results concluded that the problems related to the working conditions of counselors are among the most important problems facing the psychological counselor, followed by the problems of preparation and training, and then the problems related to the administration and the teaching staff, and the results also reached there are no statistically significant differences at the significance level (0.05) in the problems facing the psychological counselor due to the variables of academic qualification and years of experience of the counsellor
