Abstract

<> networking sites(Facebook) in education, coinciding with the corona pandemic, and to identify statistically significant differences according to the gender variable, communication sites contribute to increasing the student`s self-efficacy, developing communication skills, and increasing learning motivation. It also helps in developing self- regulated learning, as it allows the student to monitor his learning and obtain feedback from others on the level of his acquisition of information and the brogress he achieves in the educational. The current research was applied to a sample of students from the department of Education and psychology (58) male and female students. Use the descriptive method, the questionnaire was the appropriate tool, which consisted of (25) items with three axes (students` attitude- importance for students` use of the social network, and the stability coefficient was (0.78).the researcher used the statistical methods of frequencies, percentages, the arithmetic mean, and the T-test for two independent samples through the SPSS statistical program. The research reached the following results; - The degree of students’ use of social networking sites (Facebook) in education, coinciding with the Corona pandemic, was in a (significant) degree, as the result of the questionnaire axes (students’ attitude – importance) came in a (significant) degree, while the difficulty axis came in a (moderate) degree. - - There are no statistically significant differences at the level of significance (0.05) in the use of a sample of students for social networking sites (Facebook) in education, coinciding with the Corona pandemic, due to the gender variable. In conclusion, the researcher made the following recommendations: - Paying attention to providing an appropriate technical infrastructure for the use of technology in the university faculties, facilitating internet services, and providing trained personnel for maintenance work in each college. - Adopting the teaching of social communication applications within the courses taught by the students of the College of Education and training them in the educational techniques course using modern devices such as computers, mobile phones and the Internet.
