Abstract

This research is an analysis of the play by Mansour Rahbani, which included the recent events of the philosopher of Greece (Socrates), entitled "The Last Days of Socrates," in which he reviewed a painful and bloody history of the life of Socrates, who philosophizes and tries to teach the youth of Athens philosophy. Anitos, who was the president of the democratic party and was in control of Athens at that time, and cretias, the disciple of Socrates who was appointed by the Spartans as a harsh ruler of havens accused Socrates of inciting the youth againts God Aritos and cretias both. and spoiling their minds, and therefore, he wan sent jail and sentenced to death. In fact, this play is one of the most important artifacts presented by Mansour Rahbani. It was intended to clarify the aspect of the history of Athens and the life of Socrates, simulating the reality of life experienced by the Arab countries of political conflicts, Socrates is a story of every city in every time and place: Mansour Rahbani poured it in a creating and critical mold that the andiena did not hesitate to applause him with admiration exceeded the limits of criticism to touch the human feelings in strength and weakness, and in beauty and ruthlessness, calm and anger. Hence, we tried to analyze the content of this play and what it aims at, as well as analyzing the character of Socrates through the eyes of Mansour
