A proposed vision for restructuring colleges of education in Libyan universities

Due The Many Criticisms Which Educational Faculties Regarding Their Outcomes And Teaching Programs, This Study Aimed At Shedding Some Light On The Current. Condition Of The System Of Teachers’ Preparation In The Said Faculties (Faculty of Education, Sirte University as a case study) And It Aimed Also To Discover The Weaknesses In Preparing System; Namely, Acceptance System, Academic Departments, Taught Courses, Testing Systems, And Practice Teaching. The aim of The Current Study Was To Shed Some Light On The Main Problems And Obstacles Which Educational Faculties encounter, The Importance Of Such Faculties, And The Way To Improve Them. The Research has Utilized the Descriptive Methodology. The Findings of the Study Can be Summed As Follows: Establishing a conceptive proposal to restructure the Educational Faculties in Libyan Universities based on previous related studies in Arab context, - Reconsidering The policy of students’ acceptance, - Restructuring The academic and scientific departments and taught courses. -Renovating practice teaching program. - Reconsidering the objectives and functions of Educational Faculties, and - Establishing Higher studies program in those faculties
