Self-management skills and their relationship to classroom control patterns among kindergarten teachers in the city of Misurata

This study aimed to identify self-management skills and their
relationship to classroom control patterns among kindergarten teachers in the
city of Misurata. The study sample consisted of (53) teachers, and the two
researchers used to collect data the self-management skills questionnaire
(AlJizani, AlJaf, 2019) which consists of (40) A paragraph divided into five
dimensions: time management, emotional management, social relations
management, self-confidence management, and self-motivation management.
And a questionnaire for types of classroom control (Al-Harahsheh, AlKhawaldeh, 2009), which consisted of (35) items divided into three types:
indicative, reprimanding, and punitive. The results indicated: There are
apparent differences in the arithmetic averages for the level of practicing selfmanagement skills among sample members, as the arithmetic average for the
college score reached (3.86). At a high level, it also indicated that there were
statistically significant differences at the significance level (0.05) for the years
of experience variable among teachers in the skill of managing social
relationships in favor of teachers with 10 years of experience or more, and the
specialization variable in favor of kindergartens. The results indicated the
existence of a direct correlation between management skills Self and classroom
control patterns are in favor of the guidance style. The higher the teacher’s selfmanagement skills, the more impact she has on her use of appropriate classroom control patterns. In light of the study results, the researchers
recommend the following:
-Holding periodic training workshops to develop self-management skills
among kindergarten teachers .
- Developing self-management skills in the teacher’s personality through
guidance programs as it is a positive trait through which she learns the correct
educational methods.
-Conducting subsequent studies on self-management skills and their
relationship to some psychological variables: such as psychological toughness
and emotional regulation among kindergarten teachers .
-Providing a training program for female student teachers specializing in
kindergarten to develop the level of self-management skills
