Evaluation of the Arabic language book for the first grade of primary school from the point of view of the subject teachers in the city of Misurata

Abstract

The study aimed to evaluate the Arabic language textbook for the first grade of primary school from the perspective of the subject's teachers in the city of Misurata. To this end, the researcher prepared a questionnaire with five axes, each of which contained a set of paragraphs related to that axe.Then, after verifying its validity and reliability, it was distributed to the study sample consisting of a group of subject teachers to know their evaluation ratings of the book.The data were statistically processed using SPSS. The results showed that the book's overall evaluation ratings met the criteria for a good textbook. The study recommended efforts to address the book's negative points, emphasize its positive aspects, and expand such studies to include other textbooks and grade levels.
