The Relationship between Self-Efficasy and Academic Among Sample of Faculty of Education Students-Psychology Department-Misurata University

This study aims:
1. to examine how extent self-efficacy affects the academic achievement on the sample among a sample of students in psychology department in Faculty of Education.
2. to investigate the self-efficacy and its relationship with academic achievement among the sample chosen in this study.
3. To study the differences between the average of students' answers of the study sample based on the two variables and the academic year.
The sample of the study has been chosen randomly from 180 students in the education and psychology department in (2020-2021). The number of the sample is 62 female students. However, the research adopts descriptive study including a questionnaire distributed to the students of the sample based on the self-efficacy that was adopted from Bandora (1997). This test has been translated to Arabic> Furthermore, the test has been shown to some examiners in education and psychology departmentin (2018) to assure that the test can be valid and applicable in Libyan environment. The paper concludes that students in the psychology department have a high level of self-efficacy as well as there is a positive relationship between the self-efficacy and the academic achievement. Furthermore, the study indicates that there are no differences between first semester students and the last semester students concerning self-efficacy
