Social competence among a sample of kindergarten children in the city of Misurata and its relationship to the mother's work

This study aims to reveal the level of social competence among kindergarten children (5-6) years old, males and females, and its relationship to the mother’s work. Simple randomness, and the researcher used a measure of social competence among kindergarten children, consisting of (39) items divided into two dimensions: the social skills dimension, and the problem behavior dimension prepared by (Abu Rashid, 2013) and the data was processed using the SPSS statistical analysis program) by extracting the averages Arithmetic, standard deviations, and two independent samples (T) test. The results of the study revealed that the level of total variation in the dimensions of social competence among kindergarten children was within the "average", and that there were no statistically significant differences between the children of working and non-working mothers in the level of social competence, and the study also concluded that there were no statistically significant differences between males and females in the level of social competence. Social competence. In light of the research results, the researcher recommends the following: 1 . The necessity of revealing, developing and strengthening the social skills of kindergarten children among both sexes, and training parents to observe and accurately assess them in children. 6 . The necessity of alerting parents, in the meetings of parents of children, to the importance of careful observation of the social skills of their children, so that they can evaluate them accurately and objectively, to be recorded in the child's file. 3 . Conducting subsequent studies that deal with family variables and factors related to the mother’s work, such as: the child’s age when the mother goes out to work, the nature of her work, the number of hours she is away from the child, and the parents’ educational level
