The level of academic procrastination among students at the Faculty of Education, Misurata University

Abstract

The study aimed to know the level of academic procrastination among university students. The study sample consisted of (410) students from the College of Education in Misurata (342 males, 68 females). The academic procrastination scale used was Muawiyah Abu Ghazaleh's (2012)scale. The study revealed a low level of academic procrastination in the study sample. The study did not reveal statistically significant differences in the gender variable (female and male), or the variable of specialization (BA, BSc). The study revealed differences in the variable of the academic level where the academic procrastination rate was higher for students who studied more than four semesters than students who were in the first four semesters
