Abstract

This study aims to trace and document the early stages of newspaper publication in Misurata, exploring the circumstances of its emergence and the reasons for its cessation, by examining what has been recorded in the historical accounts of the Libyan press regarding these publications.

Despite the challenges and the scarcity of written works on this subject, I have made every effort to shed light on the journalistic landscape during this historical period, which dates back to the Italian colonial era. This is particularly significant from a documentation standpoint, as this year marks over one hundred years since the inception of the press in Misurata
