Conflict of Interest Policy
This Conflict of Interest Policy aims to uphold the highest standards of integrity and objectivity in the journal’s publishing process and to maintain the trust of readers and researchers in the credibility of its published content. Accordingly, the Journal of the Faculty of Arts and Media – University of Misurata is committed to full transparency and ethical conduct in all aspects of the publication process. Conflicts of interest are addressed as follows:
Authors’ Responsibilities
All authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest that could influence their research. This includes:
- Disclosure of any financial support received for conducting the study.
- Disclosure of any personal relationships, including familial ties with members of the editorial board.
Reviewers’ Responsibilities
Reviewers must declare any potential conflicts of interest that may compromise their ability to provide an objective and impartial review. This includes academic, professional, or financial interests that may affect the integrity of the review process.
Editorial Board Responsibilities
The editorial board is committed to handling any disclosed conflicts of interest with transparency and fairness. The board reserves the right to take appropriate measures to preserve the integrity of the publication process, including:
- Requesting additional disclosures from authors or reviewers.
- Excluding a reviewer if a clear conflict of interest is identified.
- Publishing a conflict of interest statement alongside the article, when necessary.
- Rejecting a manuscript if a conflict of interest significantly undermines the credibility of the research.
