Author Guidelines for Publication and Referencing

In pursuit of a distinguished and academically rigorous body of scholarly work contributed by specialists to the Journal of the Faculty of Arts and Media, authors are required to adhere to the following guidelines:

  1. The manuscript must address a topic within the fields of communication, media, or the arts.
  2. The work must follow established academic research standards, methodologies, and ethical principles.
  3. The subject matter must be original and not previously published or submitted elsewhere.
  4. The manuscript must not constitute part of a thesis or dissertation that has already been granted a degree.
  5. The manuscript must be free from typographical and grammatical errors.
  6. Submissions are accepted in Arabic, English, or French.
  7. An abstract not exceeding one page must accompany each submission:
    • In Arabic for foreign-language manuscripts.
    • In English for Arabic manuscripts.
  8. Manuscripts must be submitted in print on A4 paper, accompanied by a CD containing an electronic version of the manuscript, its abstract, and the author's CV.
    Alternatively, all materials may be submitted via the journal's official email.
  9. Arabic manuscripts must be formatted as follows:
    • Font: Traditional Arabic
    • Size: 14 pt for body text, 12 pt for footnotes, and 10 pt for tables
    • Margins: 2.5 cm on all sides
  10. Foreign-language manuscripts must be formatted as follows:
    • Font: Times New Roman
    • Size: 14 pt for body text, 12 pt for footnotes
    • Margins: 2.5 cm on all sides
  11. The journal adheres to the American Psychological Association (APA) referencing style, 6th edition.
  12. All submissions are subject to blind peer review by specialized academic referees.
  13. The journal reserves the right to make non-substantive editorial changes suggested by reviewers or required for formatting and consistency without prior author approval.
  14. Authors of approved manuscripts will be notified of reviewers' comments and must revise accordingly before final acceptance.
  15. The views and opinions expressed in submitted manuscripts are solely those of the authors, who bear full legal responsibility for their content.
  16. The acceptance and scheduling of publications are subject to the journal’s editorial priorities and publication policy.
  17. The editorial board is not obligated to return submitted manuscripts, regardless of publication status.
  18. Publication priority is based on the date of final submission following all required revisions.
  19. Authors must complete all forms issued by the editorial board to formalize their submission.
  20. The similarity index must not exceed 20%.
