About the Journal

Vision

To establish the Faculty of Media and Arts Journal – University of Misurata as a leading academic platform at both the local and international levels for publishing peer-reviewed research and studies that reflect contemporary developments in knowledge and creativity within the fields of arts, media, communication, and related disciplines.


 

Mission

The journal aims to support the advancement of scientific research in the fields of arts, media, and communication by publishing original studies that undergo rigorous peer review. It seeks to promote knowledge exchange among researchers and practitioners, foster creative and critical thinking, and align with the University of Misurata’s mission of serving society and advancing knowledge.


 

Objectives

  1. To publish peer-reviewed scholarly research in the fields of the arts (visual, performing, and plastic), media (digital and traditional), communication, and related sciences.
  2. To encourage applied and critical studies that address current issues in the artistic and media landscapes locally, regionally, and globally.
  3. To stimulate interdisciplinary knowledge exchange between the arts, media, social sciences, technology, and the humanities.
  4. To provide an open scientific platform for both emerging and established researchers from Libya and abroad, contributing to the enhancement of local scholarly output.
  5. To contribute to the development of media and artistic policies and practices through the presentation of advanced academic research and perspectives.
  6. To promote a culture of scientific research, uphold research ethics, and commit to academic publishing quality standards.
  7. To expand academic engagement with specialized journals and institutions at the local, regional, and international levels.
