Abstract

This study investigates the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into interior design, The primary objective is to determine the impact of utilizing artificial intelligence within the interior design sector, Specifically, the study aims to monitor and analyze the current utilization of AI applications and tools across the various phases of the design workflow for interior designers, It seeks to uncover the creative, functional and aesthetic advantages realized when integrating AI algorithms into the formulation of interior spaces, Furthermore, it identifies the technical and human challenges and obstacles that constrain the optimal deployment of AI technologies within the interior architecture sector, Ultimately, the study articulates a framework and methodological proposal to guide designers toward effectively leveraging AI tools to advance their professional practices ,The study adopts a descriptive-analytical methodology, which represents the most appropriate scientific approach for examining the phenomenon of integrating AI applications within the interior architecture and interior design sectors and monitoring its diverse impacts, This methodology is selected because it extends beyond the mere collection of data and information regarding the smart technologies utilized and their operational methods,The findings of the study demonstrate that the deployment of generative artificial intelligence significantly compresses the timeframe required to prepare preliminary concepts and engineering layouts from weeks to a matter of minutes, Additionally, spatial optimization algorithms and expert systems provide highly accurate solutions for furniture arrangement and material selection that comply with anthropometric dimensions, regulatory codes and functional parameters, The research also reveals that the technical integration of AI within Building Information Modeling (BIM) software results in the near-total elimination of engineering conflicts (clashes) prior to the field execution phase,Based on these findings, the study recommends that consulting firms and engineering institutions actively invest in upgrading their digital infrastructure and training their human capital in advanced prompt engineering proficiencies, Furthermore, colleges of fine arts, design and architecture must enact a comprehensive educational overhaul to integrate big data science and automated performance modeling into the core of their academic curricula.
