Abstract... High fat diet causes obesity and affect liver enzymes, due to the progression of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. In this study, the effect of high fatty diet on the body weight and liver enzymes of golden hamsters was demonstrated and the potential protective effect of green tea against obesity and elevation of liver enzymes was investigated. The study was conducted between January and July 2020 in College of Medical Technology. Three groups of golden hamsters were fed a basal diet pellets (CON), a high fat diet (HFD) and a high fat diet with steeped green tea (GT), respectively. The body weight was increased significantly in the HFD group and no significant increase in the GT group compared to the CON group. The HFD feeding elevated the liver enzymes (aspartate transaminase, alanine transaminase and alkaline phosphatase) significantly compared to the CON group. However, the levels of these liver enzymes were significantly decreased in the GT group compared to the HFD group. The study findings suggest that steeped green tea could prevent body weight gaining from high fat diet and improve the levels of liver enzymes. Therefore, green tea might be considered as a potential plant in the treatment of obesity and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease.

Abstract... This research presents a contribution to the discovery of natural materials that can be used as protective shields to protect from the danger of radiation, where we calculate the linear and mass absorption coefficient of cowhide when exposed to gamma rays at different distances and thicknesses of different samples using a source of Co60, and then compare the results obtained with the absorption coefficient of several materials The most important of which is lead, and the results were similar for cowhide and lead for the linear absorption coefficient. (µ for lead = 0.386292835 (cm-1), µ for cowhide = 0.33650546 (cm-1),and it is little to the camelhide, µ= for camelhide = 0.093441159 ((cm-1).

Abstract... This study was conducted to find out the effect of the dental materials used in the dental prosthetics industry on the health and safety of the skin and the incidence of skin diseases among dental technicians who work in the field of dental prosthetics, because of the importance of this aspect to technicians in terms of knowing the most important causes that lead to their infection with skin diseases, also the most important substances that cause this, besides to educate them on how to reduce as much as possible the incidence of these diseases and reduce their severity, The study included two groups (the study group and the control group), The study group included (40) cases of volunteers of both sexes ranging in age from (21-49 years), they were dental technicians working in a number of public and private dental installations factories in the city of Misurata for a period ranging between (2 months-21 years), The control group included (50) volunteers of both sexes, ranging in age from (18-45 years), and a medical examination for skin health was conducted for them to find out their skin diseases by a specialized medical team at Al Zawk Field Hospital, A questionnaire form was also designed for each group and distributed to them. Results shows that the highest period of exposure to dental materials in years for the workers in the laboratory who were included in the study was (1-5 years) by 72.5% of the sample. Furthermore the percentage of others 75% infected in the study group, which is less than 82%, the percentage of non-infected patients in the control group, which indicates that the use of dental materials has a negative impact on the health of the skin of the dental technician. Moreover, the highest incidence of skin diseases in the study group was eczema of both types 12.5%, while in the control group the highest incidence was contact eczema which was10% . Finally, the materials that technicians were most sensitive to were acrylic resin (methyl methacrylate) by 20% and gypsum products by 20%, It was found that the incidence of skin diseases increases with the increase in hours and years of work in the dental facilities industry as a result of the increase in the duration of exposure to dental materials, There was a good application of the conditions of occupational safety within the laboratories for 95% of the technicians.

Abstract... Healthcare facilities, laboratories, and educational laboratories are major sources of biological hazards. Employees in these environments are more susceptible to biological hazards than other employees working elsewhere, resulting in many health hazards to employees and visitors to these units. The aim of this study was to assess the main biological hazards, knowledge and to assess the level of exposure to biological hazards. In addition to assessing awareness and compliance with the application of safety standards in the workplace. In this study, we developed a questionnaire and submitted it to medical staff at Brack General Hospital (BGH) in Al-Shatti region. (60) Collection and analysis of questionnaires. The results show that employees are exposed to many biological hazards due to lack of awareness and training. Audits and appropriate planning are required to address or reduce the impact of these hazards.
