Review Process
The MMSJ implements a thorough peer-review process to ensure scientific accuracy and relevance of the manuscript, while authors are required to disclose all conflicts of interest and potential biases. The initial step in the review process involves a preliminary evaluation conducted by the editor-in-chief to ascertain the suitability of the manuscript for publication in the MMSJ. When a manuscript is considered interesting, it is delegated to an editorial board member who takes on the role of primary reviewing editor. The reviewing editor requests blinded external reviewers to evaluate the manuscript, provide feedback for revisions, and also articulate their attitudes on its acceptability. The Editor is accountable for the ultimate judgement on accepting or rejecting the manuscript, with a 30-day duration for the initial decision and an average of 45 days for the final decision.
